Cimișlia district signed partnership agreement in Lower Danube Euroregion

Chisinau, 9 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Cimislia district council and the Lower Danube Euroregion Agency signed a Partnership Agreement yesterday.

The agreement aims to unite the efforts and resources of two partners for the organization of events, the development of joint projects and tenders. These will be related to local development, other bilateral relations in various fields, at international, cross-border, regional and local level, including in the framework of cooperation in the Lower Danube Euroregion.

"Strengthening relations between the parties will create new bases and opportunities to participate in various regional and international initiatives and cross-border cooperation programs. These are projects such as the Black Sea Basin 2021-2027, European Union Strategy for the Danube Region, as well as within the Lower Danube Euroregion", according to the authorities in Cimişlia.

The Lower Danube Euroregion Association has as founding members Galaţi, Tulcea and Brăila County Councils in Romania, Cahul and Cantemir District Councils in the Republic of Moldova, Odessa Regional Council, Odessa Regional State Administration and Reni District Council in Ukraine.

The Lower Danube Euroregion operates on the basis of a Convention, signed in August 1998.
