As many as 3,024 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- A number of 13,462 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 3,024 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 16 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 474,548 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 210 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (54 physicians, 87 medical assistants, 69 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 3,126 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 223 are in extremely serious condition and 31 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 24,426 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,517 are under supervision at home.

Another 4,992 people have been treated. As many as 419,006 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 34 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,837 people have died of coronavirus in all.
