Business people from Azerbaijan invited to consider conditions provided by Free Economic Zones

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a meeting with Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency from Azerbaijan Orkhan Mammadov. The officials tackled subjects on the Moldovan-Azeri cooperation in the commercial and economic sectors, tourism and investments, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„We confirmed willingness for the promotion of the direct cooperation between companies from our countries, including through the creation of enterprises with mixed capital, as well as the operative exchange of information on the international events in the relevant sectors, which are organized in Moldova and Azerbaijan,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
At the same time, the interlocutors agreed on facilitating the signing, in the near time, of a memorandum on cooperation between the Azeri institution and the Investments Agency of Moldova, in order to turn to good account subsequent opportunities for the benefit of business people from both states.
At the meeting, Deputy PM Nicu Popescu made an invitation to business people from Azerbaijan to consider the advantageous conditions provided by the Free Economic Zones and the Industrial and IT Parks from Moldova.
