EU, USAID, World Health Organization donate consignment of equipment to Moldova

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - EU, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Health Organization today donated 120 laptops and 120 computers worth 2.8 million to the Health Ministry.

Attending the event of the donation’s delivery was Health Minister Ala Nemerenco.

The health minister said that the medical institutions from Moldova would benefit from this equipment and the computers would help automate the vaccination campaign. At the same time, the new equipment will reduce the logistic burden put on medical employees.

The minister noted that the pandemic had come with a string of challenges for the entire medical system, as well as for the information system of the medical institutions. The equipment received today will improve the already existing infrastructure.
