As many as 1,561 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,678 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,561 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 3 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 496,976 COVID cases have been recorded so far.

Health Ministry (MS), 42 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (9 physicians, 25 medical assistants, 8 auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,495 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 97 are in extremely serious condition and 4 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 11,373 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 13,460 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,639 people have been treated. As many as 468,951 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,136 people have died of coronavirus in all.
