Rate of vaccination against COVID-19 stands at 31 per cent in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - The number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 decreased by 7 per cent in the last week against the earlier period. Thus, the immunization rate in Moldova is 31 per cent at present. The Health Ministry unveiled data to this effect today.    

According to the quoted source, 33,369 people were vaccinated during 14-20 February. Another 233,785 people went to vaccination centres for the administering of the booster dose. Thus, the national coverage with one dose, in the general population, is over 31 per and with full scheme – 30 per cent.

According to the ministry, since the beginning of the pandemic, Moldova has received 2,923,860 doses of vaccine against COVID-19. The immunization against the new-type coronavirus is free of charge and recommended by all health institutions nationally and internationally, being an efficient way to cease the spread of the virus.
