Moldovan foreign affairs ministry says there are no obstacles to international road transport of goods in Ukraine

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - Given the information distributed on social networks on the blocking of the international goods transport from Moldova, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) says that there were similar signals from three border crossing points and in the communication with the competent authorities from Ukraine, it is confirmed that there are no other impediments but the big queues, created by the people who flee Ukraine as a result of the war and the concerns for the security of the participants in the traffic, the MAEIE press service has reported.      

The decision-makers of the MAEIE Crisis Cell are in permanent touch with the Embassy of Ukraine in Chisinau, which committed to solve with representatives of the Customs Service and Border Guards Service from this country the speeding up of the crossing of the border by the international road transport of goods from Moldova.    

We reiterate the call to Moldova’s citizens not to move to Ukraine and we convey to those who are temporarily in Ukraine to immediately leave the territory of this state.
