Increased flow of passengers registered at Giurgiulești – Reni customs - authorities say

Chisinau, 28 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- In the last 12 hours, the border police registered 18,471 people crossing, of which a number of 9,481 on the way into the country. Most of the crossings were of foreign nationals - 14,710. This morning, the Border Police reported the presence of an increased flow in the Giurgiulești – Reni PTF.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the rest of the border crossing points have minimum traffic values. The peak hours, when there was an influx of passengers were between 20:00 and 02:00.
In the last hours, 9,583 Ukrainian citizens have been circulating on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of which 5,369 on the direction of entry into Moldova and another 4,214 crossings leaving the country. At the same time, 3,148 crossings were the crossings of Ukrainian minors up to and including 14 years of age.
From the beginning of the crisis until yesterday, 193,784 crossings were registered, a number of 103,356 being reported at the border with Romania and 88,713 at the border with Ukraine.
