Norms for nourishment of children from kindergartens increased in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Education and Research Ministry (MEC) has identified, by common consent with the Finance Ministry, a mechanism of indexation of the financial norms for the nourishment of children from kindergartens and schools. An order to this effect entered into force on 1 March.  

The requests and proposals of the representatives of the Public Association, United Parents, Astra public association, etc. were taken into account at the elaboration of  this decision.

According to MEC, the new financial norms were established depending on the time of attending the education institutions. For children up to 3 years of age: for 4 hours – from 4.90 lei/per day up to 5.90 lei/day; 6 hours – from 9.60 lei/day up to 11.50 lei/day, 9-10.5 hours – from 14.20 lei/day up to 17 lei/day and 12-24 hours – from 19.10 lei/day up to 22.90 lei/day.  

In the case of children with ages from 3 to 7 years, the following sums are valid: - 4 hours – from 6.10 lei/day up to 7.30 ley/day; 6 hours – from 11.20 lei/day up to 13.40 lei/day; 9-10.5 hours – from 17.50 lei/day up to 21 lei/day; 12 hours – from 19.10 up to 22.90 lei/day and 24 hours – from 22.50 up to 27 lei/day.

In case of institutions with sanatorium profile, the increased sum for children’s nourishment will be 29.60 lei/day. The increased sum is of 41.40 lei/day for one child for the children/pupils with early and school age from children’s homes, gymnasiums/boarding schools and sanatorium-type schools.

Also, the Education Ministry informed that the free of charge nourishment of children of the forms I-IV from the public and private education institutions, as well as the pupils of the V-XII forms from the education institutions of the eastern district of Moldova, subordinated to MEC and from the education institutions from the districts of Dubasari, Causeni, Anenii Noi, placed in the Security Zone, would be ensured. The norm is 13 lei/day for one pupil 55.70 lei/day for the pupils of the boarding lyceums with sports profile with the ages between 12 and 15 years and 73.20 lei/day for the pupils of the 9th-12th form with the ages between 16 and 19 days.
