French Foreign Minister to visit Moldova

Chisinau, March 3 / MOLDPRES /- Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean Yves Le Drian and European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic will pay a visit to Chisinau today in support of the Republic of Moldova in the context of efforts to manage the refugee crisis.
According to the MAEIE press service, the talks will address ways to manage the problems posed by the war in Ukraine, the need for assistance and concrete measures to support strengthening the resilience of our country.
The head of diplomacy in Chisinau, Nicu Popescu, together with Minister Jean Yves Le Drian, European Commissioner Janez Lenarcic and Interior Minister Ana Revenco will hold a joint press conference today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration starting at 15:00.
This week, the Republic of Moldova was visited by several senior officials, including Helga Schmid, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement.
