973 Ukrainian citizens applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, March 3 / MOLDPRES /- On 24 February -3 March 136,386 Ukrainian citizens entered the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of which 132,535 people entered through the MD-UA border segment and 3,527 through the MD-RO border segment.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the same period 74,816 citizens of Ukraine left the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of which 5,764 people left through the MD-UA border segment, and 69,008 - through the MD-RO border segment.

On the national territory remained 61,570 citizens of Ukraine, of which 23,179 minors, who entered the Republic of Moldova in the last 172 hours.

The largest inflow of people from Ukraine, on the way in, was recorded at the Palanca, Tudora, Otaci and Criva state border crossing points.

In the last eight days, 1,759 people have applied for asylum in the offices of the Migration and Asylum Bureau, of which 973 are Ukrainian citizens.
