2,279 Ukrainian citizens applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, March 9 / MOLDPRES /- On 24 February - 9 March 3,114 foreigners applied for asylum in the Republic of Moldova, of which 2,279 were Ukrainian citizens.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the last few days 259,564 Ukrainian citizens have entered the Republic of Moldova on the border segment with Ukraine. 157,736 Ukrainian citizens left the country (151,225 in the MD-RO segment; 6,511 in the MD-AU segment).
107,115 foreign citizens (citizens of Ukraine and other nationalities) remained on the territory of the country.
