Over 12,000 people crossed border into Moldova in last 12 hours

Chisinau, March 16 / MOLDPRES /- In the last 12 hours, the border police registered 12,822 crossings, of which a higher number - 7,773 on the way out of the country. Most of the crossings were by foreign nationals - 8,572.

According to the Border Police, only at PTF Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe there is a row of about 20 cars and 20 pedestrians, the other border crossing points are operating normally.

The most requested border remains the one with Romania - 10,390 of the total crossings, and 2,117 crossings were reported at the crossing points located at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and 315 crossings at the air border.

With regard to the crossing of the border by the citizens of Ukraine, a total number of 4,880 crossings were recorded, of which 1,561 on the way into the Republic of Moldova and another 3,319 crossings at the exit from the country. At the same time, a number of 1,480 were the transfers of Ukrainian minors up to and including 17 years of age.
