Moldovan parliament's secretary general to have more powers

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s secretary general will have powers of managing the budget of the legislative institution. A draft on amendment of the parliament’s regulation was approved in the final reading with the votes of 58 lawmakers today.  

Also, the secretary general will have the power of employment and dismissal of the civil servants of the parliament’s secretariat.

So far, the concerned powers have belonged to the parliament speaker.  

At the same time, the secretary general will inform half-yearly and, if necessary, the standing bureau, about the expenses made.
