Over 7,700 homes purchased through First Home program

Chisinau, March 24 / MOLDPRES /- So far, 7,794 homes have been purchased through First Home program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 4.25 billion lei, and the total amount of guarantees is about 2.06 billion lei.

According to the Ministry of Finance, out of the 7,794 beneficiaries, 5,357 are families and 2,437 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. The average surface of the dwellings purchased through the Program is 60 sq.m., while the average value of the dwellings purchased is 637.65 thousand lei.

Of the total number of dwellings purchased under the Program, 7,280 are in urban areas and 514 in rural areas. 7,072 homes purchased are apartments, and 722 - individual houses.

The program beneficiary may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed by a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation is 5% of the purchase price of the house.
