As many as 216 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,227 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 216 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 512,602 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 14 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (4 doctors, 8 medical assistants and 2 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 366 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 52 are in extremely serious condition and 9 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,567 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 3,106 are under supervision at home.

Another 334 people have been treated. As many as 497,832 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of two new deaths triggered by the new-type coronavirus and 11,417 people have died of COVID-19 in all.
