As many as 257 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,378 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 257 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 9 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 514,014 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 13 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (4 doctors, 4 medical assistants and 5 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 312 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 53 are in extremely serious condition and 5 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,378 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 1,915 are under supervision at home.

Another 329 people have been treated. As many as 499,816 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of 10 new deaths triggered by the new-type coronavirus and 11,445 people have died of COVID-19 in all.
