Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/- The government approved at today's meeting a note to the draft condominium law.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the draft aims to improve the regulatory framework governing increasing transparency and informing homeowners about the tenants' association situation, cost control and fundraising, and regulating a more flexible decision-making process.
The main provisions of the draft law refer to:
• regulating the distribution of the association's expenses;
• contracting intermediate services;
• creation of the repair and development fund;
• creating an online platform that can be accessed at any time by the owners;
• prohibiting tenants from undertaking interventions or façade works;
• setting the clear way of organizing the owners within an association that includes several blocks;
• the law offers the possibility for the owners to contract condominium administration services from another natural or legal person.
The aim of the new regulations is to inform the owners more efficiently about the situation of the association of which they are members and to ensure a more transparent control of the costs for the maintenance of the housing block.
