Superior Council of Magistracy decided to suspend judge from office

Chisinau, May 24 / MOLDPRES /- The Superior Council of Magistracy /CSM/ decided at today's meeting to suspend judge Oleg Melniciuc from office. The decision was taken with four votes in favor and three against.
The decision was approved as a result of the approach submitted by acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu.
CSM head Dorel Mustață said that today's decision can be appealed to the Chisinau Court of Appeal for 30 days.
The suspended magistrate is convicted of illicit enrichment and forgery in public documents.
