Aqueduct network to be built in Floresti district

Chisinau, June 15 / MOLDPRES /- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR), the Floresti District Council and the designated company yesterday signed an enterprise contract within the infrastructure project Water for life in the Northern Region: Floresti and Soroca 2 districts, financed from the National Fund for Regional Development and Local Government (FNDRL).

According to the contract, within 11 months, the contractor undertook to build the supply and aqueduct networks for drinking water supply in six rural localities in Floresti district: Iliciovca commune (Iliciovca village); Sevirova commune (Sevirova and Ivanovca villages); Trifănești commune (Trifănești and Alexandrovca ​​villages) and to extend the aqueduct networks in Izvoare commune.

"Within the project, over 65 km of aqueduct networks will be installed, of which 16.8 km - mains, a drinking water pumping station and a water castle. A total of 2,200 residents in six localities will have access to the new water supply and sanitation system (AAS). Also, 20 public institutions and 50 economic agents will have access to the extended regional AAS system ”, according to ADR Nord.

The value of the enterprise contract is 35.47 million lei (about 1.8 million euros), the contribution of the Floresti District Council and the partner mayoralties being 10%.

This year, according to FNDRL sources, ADR Nord is implementing six new water supply and sanitation projects (AAS) in the north of the country, of which one project involves the elaboration of a pre-feasibility study targeting 33 localities from Dondușeni, Soroca and Ocnița districts. One of the six investment measures in the field of AAS is the project "Water for life in the Northern Region: Floresti and Soroca 2 districts", submitted by the Floresti District Council in the Call for selection of regional development projects for the period 2021-2023.
