Moldovan president conveys message to graduates of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today conveyed a greeting message to the graduates of the 2022 series of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF), who took the oath of physician and pharmacist.
The head of state congratulated the fresh graduates on the finishing of the medical education and wished them success in their future work. She noted that their work was both stressful and noble, but it gives them the feeling of moral and professional fulfillment. ‘’As there is nothing more precious in the life of a physician than the gratitude in the eyes of the patient,’’ President Maia Sandu said in her speech.
„I urged them for the oath taken to represent a promise made to themselves, a commitment of principle which they will observe during their entire life. I encouraged them to continue to study, as the medicine and pharmacology develop quickly, according to the changing needs of the mankind and only by learning, they will be able to keep pace with these changes. And only one thing remains unchanged – the Man and his/her life, health and the well-being of the society remain in the focus of the profession they will practice,’’ the head of state said in her address to the young physicians.
She also thanked the graduates for their involvement in the fight against the Covid pandemic in the last two years and voiced hope that they would choose to work at home, in Moldova. ‘’Even if the health system from our country faces more difficulties, it is set up on a solid foundation and we will do our utmost to strengthen it. We want to give to young medical employees as many as possible opportunities of personal and professional development in our country,’’ President Maia Sandu said during the graduation ceremony at the headquarters of the USMF Nicolae Testemitanu.
