Director of Swiss Cooperation Office ends mandate in Chisinau

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has met the director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova, Caroline Tissot, on the occasion of the end of her mandate in Chisinau, the presidential press service has reported.

The discussion was focused on the current situation in Moldova and in the region, as well as on the bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Switzerland.

The head of state thanked the Swiss Confederation for the support from which Moldova had benefited during years. Maia Sandu noted that the leadership was happy with the strong bilateral partnership, especially at the carrying out of social and local development projects, as well as of cultural initiatives. The Moldovan president also appreciated the quick assistance provided by Switzerland for combating the Covid-19 pandemic and the assistance provided in last spring to back the refugees from Ukraine.
