Young people, migrants from Moldovan capital to benefit from financial support to start, develop businesses

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - Young people and migrants from the Chisinau municipality will benefit from financial support on behalf of local authorities in the starting and developing businesses. The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today approved a pilot programme titled, Startups for Young People and Migrants.  

Under the document, the programme’s goal is to stimulate the entrepreneurship among young people and migrants from the Chisinau city through facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses and backing the creation of jobs.   

Thus, those who want to start a business will be able to benefit from non-refundable financial support worth 200,000 lei at most (10,000 euros). At the same time, young people who own a business and made an investment from crediting resources will benefit from the compensation of the value of interest paid for the last 24 months, in a maximal sum of 100,000 lei.    

Young people, future entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 40 years, with residence in Chisinau and who want to start a business or hold an enterprise registered in the capital for 12 months at the most, will be beneficiaries of the project. The applicant’s financial contribution accounts for at least 30 per cent of the value of eligible costs of the investment project.   

The priority fields of the programmes are businesses due to carry out production activities of providing of services, which contain innovating activities or are set to implement projects on technology or know-how transfer. It is about: businesses focused on the development of industry of information technology and communications, electro-mechanics, agro-food industry and HORECA, light industry, creative industry, tourism, health and beauty, professional, scientific or activities, energy efficiency or agriculture.
