Emergency Commission convenes in meeting today

Chisinau, August 10 /MOLDPRES/- The Emergency Commission is meeting today following the heavy rain yesterday. Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban made the statement at an operational meeting of the municipal services.

Allocation of about 2.5 million lei for the repair of weather-affected roofs will also be discussed at the CSE meeting.

"I want to warn the residents of the Râșcani sector that in the next few days the street lighting will be disconnected so that the specialized teams can check the electrical wires. I request that the CSE meeting be convened at 12:30 p.m., after which 2.5 million lei will be allocated for the removal of damages. All services should be mobilized in the Râșcani sector and part of the Ciocana sector", said the mayor.

Following yesterday's rain in the capital, dozens of trees fell on top of cars and electric wires, several basements of residential blocks were flooded, dozens of roofs were damaged, and one person died of electric shock.
