Play by Mikhail Bulgakov to take place Mihai Eminescu National Theatre from Moldova

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - The play, The Trap, according to the work, The Flight, by Mikhail Bulgakov, stage management of Petru Hadarca, will open the Meeting of Romanian National Theatres, the seventh edition, at the headquarters of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre on 15 September at 18:30.

At a today’s news conference, stage manager Petru Hadarca said the idea of the play had appeared in the context of the discussions about the Russian culture and the responsibility of the authorities and the impact of the works created on the mentalities and on the shaping of the social opinion, discussions triggered by the war in Ukraine. ‘’I believe that not the prohibition, but on the contrary, the reading, re-reading, accompanied by better analyses, discussions and reflection on details would help us understand what is happening today and we would maybe understand why the things have reached the confrontation between the two worlds, between two such different models of organization of life and society. We have chosen the fate and work of Mikhail Bulgakov for an exercise of this kind,’’ Hadarca said.
