Minimum salary on Moldova to be 3,500 lei, to be applied in public, real sectors

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the unification of the minimum salary on Moldova. It will amount to 3,500 lei for a full working schedule of 169 hours and will be enforced both in the public and in the real sectors, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Through this unification, decision-makers will ensure the equity of the salary payment in the two sectors of activity – a principle provided for both in Moldova’s Constitution and in the international obligations taken by the country.

It is worth noting that the minimum salary on Moldova was established in a quantum of 1,000 for the first time in 2014.
