Chisinau, 30 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law amending the Law on social benefits for children were published in today's issue of the Official Journal.

Thus, as of 1 October children aged up to two years will receive monthly allowances of 1,000 lei, regardless of whether or not the parents are insured in the state social insurance system.

Under the law, in the case of uninsured persons who currently benefit from allowance for child care up to the age of two worth 740 lei per month for each child, this allowance will be increased by 260 lei. The insured persons who currently benefit from an allowance worth 30% of the calculation basis set according to the Law on allowances for temporary incapacity for work and other social insurance benefits will receive an additional 1,000 lei per month.

Also, from 1 October 2022, the monthly allowance will be increased up to 500 lei for raising up to the age of 3 for twins or multiple children born from a single pregnancy.
