Moldovan wineries invited to attend exhibition in Italy

Chisinau, Oct. 28 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan wineries were invited to attend Vinitaly exhibition in Verona (Italy). The invitation was launched yesterday at a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) with the participation of head of Veronafiere Exhibition Center Matjaž Žigon and Italian Ambassador to Chisinau Lorenzo Tomassoni.

Italian officials have communicated the opportunities and conditions for participation in the event in the wine sector, Vinitaly, due in Verona on 2-5 April 2023. The exhibition annually gathers tens of thousands of visitors, where the exhibitors' offers are explored worldwide. Also, the Italian side emphasized that it wants to develop economic and cultural relations with our country, including the creation of preferential conditions for Moldovan winemakers.

For his part, MAIA State Secretary Sergiu Gherciu reiterated the idea that exhibitions are a suitable platform for promoting companies and the country's image, with opportunities to launch new negotiations between commercial operators, as well as expanding the possibilities to increase exports.

The sides agreed to organize masterclass programs to facilitate the presentation of products and the transfer of knowledge and technologies between winemakers.
