Premiere of mono-show to take place at Chisinau-based theatre

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The premiere of a mono-show titled Dragoste la pachet (Love in Package) by Tatiana Lazar, stage management of Olesea Svecla, will take place at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre on 22 November at 18:30. The show’s author will play the part.  

Contacted by MOLDPRES, actress Tatiana Lazar said the show was a homage paid to the mothers who work abroad. She worked in Italy for 12 years. ‘’One will never say anybody how much fear, hunger and cold you experienced in Italy. As this is not what they are expecting from you. You are regarded with envy! You have succeeded! You are legalized! You are making money! And you will smile and will say that it is quite nice in Italy…’’ said the actress, who had returned home.   

In the context, stage manager Olesea Svecla said the show was made up of memories of mothers who work abroad and what their children had experienced.  

According to the organizers, the show tries to answer more questions. The mother who left for Italy (or other countries – editor’s note) and their children who remained at home – is there any room left for communication, affection and understanding between them? Can ‘’the voice in the phone’’ replace the mother or child? Which are the traumas of this separation? How the human breaks and troubles can be avoided? The agitation of a woman working among Italian elderly people, children and old parents who remained at home – this is the map covered by the narrative voice and the audience in the hall. The drama is one of poverty, of a country from Eastern Europe and this country has a name – Moldova. The sequelae of the distance, of separation hurt and the attempt to compensate the pain through parcels with gifts sent by the mother from Italy comes from here. The boxes with Italian goods become a metonymic substitute of the family love; with the object’s dimension bringing somehow Italy to children. In this way, mother seems to come home each time. This is a show of grief, a show about our endless transition with all its injuries.
