Chisinau, Nov. 25 /MOLDPRES/- Eleven border crossing points have temporarily suspended activity due to the power shortage on the Ukrainian side or technical malfunctions in the databases of the border and customs authorities of the neighboring country.

According to the Border Police, it is about - Clocușna-Sokireanî, Ceadâr Lunga - Novîe Troianî, Ceadâr Lunga-Maloiaroslaveț, Cișmichioi-Dolinscoe, Vulcănești-Vinogradovka, Mirnoe-Tabaki, Giurgiulești-Reni, Săiti-Lesnoe, Briceni-Rossoșani, Unguri -Bronita and Ocnita-Sokiranî.

The authority said that currently, the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points periodically suspend their activity. To exclude the formation of traffic jams when crossing the state border and the increase of waiting times, travelers are urged to be informed in advance about the situation at the border crossing points. They can call 022 259 717 - the Green Line of the Border Police.

At the same time, citizens can follow online the situation or locations of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points at the ONLINE TRAFFIC (http://border.gov.md/camere-web) or INTERACTIVE MAP (http://border.gov.md/ harta-punctelor-de-trecere-ale-frontierei-de-stat), on the institution's official page.

The authority also urged citizens, as far as possible, to postpone travel to Ukraine, taking into account that it is a difficult period in the neighboring state, where the infrastructure is precarious and this fact directly affects the activity process of the border and customs authorities in Ukraine.

In cases of disconnection of electricity, the Border Police of our country is ready to intervene and ensure the functionality of the cross-border work schedule. In this regard, each border subdivision is equipped with power generators and other special equipment.
