Moldovan authorities condemn Russia's brutal attacks with missiles against Ukraine

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) today evening quite firmly condemned Russia’s brutal attacks with missiles against the neighbor country. These unjustified actions cause dramatic consequences in Ukraine, leaving people without electricity, thermal agent and in some cases, water.    

MAEIE states that the today’s attacks represent an extra proof of the unacceptable aggression against Ukrainian civilian objects, which hit including Moldova. Moldova’s diplomatic missions from Ukraine keep a close eye on the evolution of the security situation. ‘’The Moldovan citizens from Ukraine can appeal, in case of any emergency situation, to the embassy from Kiev or consulate from Odessa for specialty consular assistance,’’ MAEIE said.   

Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has earlier taken attitude towards the new wave of attacks with missiles, which trigger direct consequences on Moldova.

„A patrol of the Border Police discovered components of a missile nearby the Briceni town. The border police boosted the patrols and raised the degree of alert in Briceni and Ocnita. The zone where the explosive object was discovered was isolated and specialized services of the Interior Ministry (MAI) are on the spot. The governmental team does its utmost to keep the situation under control and not to allow risks to our people. I firmly condemn these brutal attacks against civilian targets from Ukraine and I reiterate our full solidarity with the Ukrainian nation in these difficult moments,’’ the PM said.       

The Moldelectrica enterprise today informed about disturbances in the electric energy system, as well as possible disconnections from power supply. The authorities ask citizens to follow recommendations by the competent bodies and remain in safety.
