PCCOCS has new acting head

Chisinau, 16 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Victor Furtună's candidacy was approved today by the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) for the position of interim head of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS).

The CSP decision will be sent for examination and approval to acting General Prosecutor Ion Munteanu.

Victor Furtună has held the position of anti-corruption prosecutor since April 2019. On November 17, 2022, he was appointed interim deputy head of PCCOCS. Furtună led the criminal prosecution group in the case of Alexandr Stoianoglo.

Also in today's meeting, the CSP members are going to appoint new heads of the prosecutor's offices in the districts.
