Over 900 million lei earmarked in 2022 for regional, local development projects

Chisinau, 26 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- In 2022, 928 million lei (46.4 million euros) were allocated for the implementation of regional and local development projects. The figures were presented at a meeting of the National Council for the Coordination of Regional and Local Development (CNCDRL).

According to the report on the balance sheet of the implementation of the Single Program Document 2022-2024, presented by state secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) Ana Mardare, 300 million lei were directed to the implementation of regional development projects and 628.5 million lei for implementation of local development projects from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) for 2022.

In 2022, 45 regional development projects and 492 local development projects were approved for financing.

Also, the annual plan for financing regional development programs and projects for 2023 and the annual plan for financing local development programs and projects from the FNDRL funds worth 600 million lei were approved at the meeting. Of the allocated amount, 250 million lei are meant for regional development and 350 million lei for local development.
