Chisinau, 31 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Grain and combined fodder storage warehouses will be checked for compliance with fire safety regulations. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița requested the inspection in the context of the fires that took place at these constructions, including recently at the Giurgiulești Free International Port.
In all, 127 grain and combined fodder storage warehouses, managed by 41 economic agents will be subject to control.

The first fire at the silo in the Giurgiulesti Free International Port took place on January 16. It occurred following the collapse of a storage tank of sunflower meal granules. Firefighters also intervened on January 20 to extinguish another tank with a load of sunflower seed meal that had caught fire.
