Moldovan, Danish officials broach cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, Feb. 1 /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu met in Chisinau with his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. They broached the country's accession to the EU, including the agenda of ambitious reforms implemented by the authorities, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The officials also approached regional security challenges, strengthening resilience and energy security, our country's role as a regional partner providing stability, hybrid threats as well as disinformation and ways to counter it by supporting media education programs and independent media.

"We want to strengthen an even stronger partnership between our countries, and therefore I have expressed my interest in the support of the Danish partners in priority areas such as waste management, forestry, investments in green energy, as well as the growth of economic exchanges and investments from Denmark in these fields but also in other areas of interest for the Republic of Moldova", the Moldovan official said.
