Moldovan parliament to hold first plenary meeting of 2023 ordinary spring session

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament on 2 February will hold its first plenary meeting of the 2023 spring session. The standing bureau approved the agenda at its meeting today.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations, the MPs will consider, in the first reading, the draft law, through which the participatory financing services are regulated, as well as the legislative initiative which sees the changing of the conditions for establishing and providing the social benefit for the cold period of the year. Also, the lawmakers will examine amendments to the law on the approval of the list of units, the farmlands of which remain state-owned and to the law on the editorial activity. Another subject included on the agenda regards Moldova’s accession to the Convention on Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic.
The agenda also contains legislative initiatives regarding the disciplinary liability of judges and the work of the judicial inspection, as well as the improvement of the mechanism of recovery of expenses for the state legal assistance. The MPs will also consider, in the second reading, amendments to the law on peasant’s farms, the law on the normative price and the way of sale and purchasing of land and the Criminal Code of Moldova.
The parliament will also reexamine two draft laws – the one suggesting the revising of the normative framework on non-discrimination and ensuring the quality and another one concerning the work of the Ombudsman.
The agenda also includes a draft decision on the extension of the emergency state in Moldova, as well as a draft decision on the recalling from office of the Moldovan parliament’s resident representative at the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
On 2 February, the plenary meeting will start at 10:00.
