Foreign affairs minister of North Macedonia to pay working visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, in Chisinau will host Foreign Affairs Minister of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani. The North Macedonian official will pay a working visit to Moldova on 13-14 February, in the context of the holding by his country of the chairmanship-in-office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, the visit to Moldova by the North Macedonian official will also include meetings with President Maia Sandu, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and acting Deputy PM for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian.
The discussions at MAEIE will be focused on the security challenges faced by Moldova, as a result of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine, the Transnistrian settlement process, as well as OSCE’s role in strengthening Moldova’s resilience.
Also, the agenda at the Foreign Affairs Ministry includes the signing of the agreement on cooperation between the governments of Moldova and North Macedonia in the fields of education, research and innovation by the acting education and research minister Anatolie Topala and the North Macedonian official.
Following the delegations’ meeting, Ministers Nicu Popescu and Bujar Osmani will hold a news conference.
