Chisinau, February 17 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean introduced new members of the Cabinet of Ministers to the teams of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, and the Ministry of Energy. He thanked each individual team for their efforts, noting that the success of government policies depends on the activity of the ministries and as a result, the transformation of the Republic of Moldova into a prosperous, safe and European country, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The presentations began at the Ministry of Justice, whose head was taken over by Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru. Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the most difficult reform that the state must carry out is that of justice, appreciating, in the context, the actions carried out so far by the employees of the ministry and former minister Sergiu Litvinenco. At the same time, Recean said "we have the task to adjust the mechanisms of cleaning the system and to encourage as many honest people as possible to assume its leadership. I trust that Veronica Mihailov-Moraru will help us move forward in an accelerated way on this path".

The Minister of Justice thanked for the trust given, stressing that the team will need support to implement the initiated reforms. "The current context is a difficult one, but the ministry's team is involved, dedicated and determined to work to achieve the results expected by the entire society and necessary to deepen EU integration," said Veronica Mihailov-Moraru.

The official introduced Minister Veronica Sirețeanu to the employees of the finance ministry. He said that the new minister has vast experience in the field and will be able to deliver the expected results. "I want us to build together public services as close as possible to citizens. At the same time, I believe that the ministry's team, which is a filter for any process in the public administration system, will be efficient and will deepen the collaboration with all other institutions, so that we have an effective budget-fiscal policy", said Dorin Recean.

"I am glad that I have a fantastic team of professionals, which must be mobilized to make the necessary efforts for the established objectives", said Minister of Finance Veronica Sirețeanu.

The new head of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Lilia Dabija, as well as Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov were introduced to the employees of the ministries. Recean thanked former Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, emphasizing the important role he had in managing the challenges in the field in such a complicated period. He also wished success and courage to the new ministers and the teams.

"I mentioned that when we talk about road infrastructure, we must understand that they are useful in all spheres of social life and have an important role in the development of the business environment. When we talk about energy, we have to understand that it is also related to the environment. We have a very ambitious infrastructure development program on which the entire economy of the country is based. The fact that the EU opens its markets to us means that we must have an infrastructure connected with Romania and other European states. With the support we have today from our foreign friends, I am convinced that we will succeed in doing what previously seemed impossible", said Recean.

Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija spoke about the future plans of the institution she will lead, with a direct impact on the entire society. "Thank you for your support and trust in me. I am sure that together we will go far and fast. Of course, we want European roads, bridges, human settlements built according to European standards, good schools and lighted streets. We need to reorganize the railway and digitize road transport. Our country's project is to bring Europe home", said the minister.

Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov said he knows the energy field extremely well, and the future objectives in this regard are ambitious. "I am not new to the energy field. The accelerated transition to the decarbonisation of the economy is a priority of the team I will be working with. We want safe, sustainable and low-cost energy. I want the existing opportunities in the world to open up and be accessible to our citizens as well," said Parlicov.
