Moldovan government provides more facilities for pupils, economic agents involved in dual education

Chisinau, February 28 /MOLDPRES/- Pupils in dual education will benefit from a social package that includes scholarships, accommodation and a professional training remuneration not lower than the minimum wage in the country. At the same time, employers will reduce their costs related to training the necessary workforce.

The executive has approved at the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Research the normative framework for the implementation of the Law on dual education in the Republic of Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

It includes the criteria regarding the compliance of the economic agent to ensure the quality of professional training through dual education and the Regulation regarding the way of compensating the expenses of dual education units.

The regulation on way of compensating the expenses of dual education units establishes the categories of eligible expenses and the procedure for their compensation. Also, to facilitate cooperation between economic agents and technical professional education institutions, the Register of dual education units was set up.

In the Republic of Moldova, dual education has been implemented since 2014. The employment rate of graduates of professional training programs through the dual system is over 70%. In the academic year 2022-2023, dual education is carried out in 27 vocational and technical education institutions, in partnership with 127 economic agents, which ensure the training and education of about 1,500 students.
