Chisinau-based Licurici Puppet Theatre to pay homage to departed Moldovan writer by presenting play

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - The play, The Goat with Her Three Kids, by departed Romanian writer Ion Creanga, will be presented at the Licurici Puppet Theatre on the occasion of the writer’s 186th birthday anniversary.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the Licurici Theatre, Ala Toma, stressed that, traditionally each year on 1 March, the theatre’s actors paid homage to the outstanding writer of the nation, Ion Creanga, by staging the beloved play, The Goat with Her Three Kids.

The 186th birthday anniversary of writer Ion Creanga is marked on 1 March. Creanga was classic writer of the Romanian literature, pedagogue, posthumous honorary member of the Romanian Academy. Ion Creanga wrote fairy-tales and tales focused on the rural universe.
