CNA officers detained man on influence peddling case

Chisinau, March 2. /MOLDPRES/- A man from the capital was detained by CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors in an influence peddling case. He allegedly claimed and received 20 thousand euros from a woman under the pretext that he could influence the decision on a criminal case.
According to CNA, the man allegedly claimed he could induce public figures from Drochia Police and Prosecutor's Office to stop the criminal investigation regarding this woman's son, as well as seven other people, investigated for threatening to kill and serious injury.
Today, the suspect was detained for 72 hours and placed in the CNA isolator.
