Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu on 10 march paid a working visit to the central Hancesti district, where he met residents of the Caracui, Sarata Galbena and Obileni villages, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The speaker informed the Hancesti district residents about the authorities’ priorities for the 2023 year. Igor Grosu urged the residents to be active in their communities, to help in the fight against the small corruption, to get involved in identifying projects which would improve the living conditions in settlements.

Another subject tackled at the discussions was the process of accession to the European Union. ‘’We must everybody work, in order to turn to good account this unique chance. We should develop the economy, agriculture, so that we become competitive on the European market,’’ Igor Grosu said.

The speaker told people about the pension’s indexation, as well as the measures needed, in order to do justice for all those who had worked. Other subjects discussed were focused on the problems in terms of subsidization and local public administration’s reform.

The Sarata Galbena residents complained about the lack of supervision cameras and speed limiters on the national road which crosses the settlement. Another problem recorded is the one on the lake from this village, which needs investments, in order to be cleaned and arranged.

The parliament speaker urged the local residents to be active when a new appeal of the European Village Programme would be launched. For 2022, Sarata Galbena got a project which provides for the construction of the sewerage system and the children from the Caracui kindergarten will enjoy modern conditions at the institution. Fifteen projects worth 104 million lei are presently implemented in the Hancesti district within the European Village Programme.
