Term of application to Trademark of the Year contest extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The term of application to the Trademark of the Year contests and the Prize for achievements in the quality sector has been extended by one week. Thus, entrepreneurs will be able to submit the files on participation till 7 April 2023. President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sergiu Harea made statements to this effect today.
„We have many requests this year, as never before; a lot of companies want to participate in this event, as they understood that the trademarks and qualitative products, as well as the implementation of quality systems bring value added to companies. Proceeding from the request of economic agents, which should present a package of documents to be considered by the evaluation commissions, the organizational committee ruled to extend the period of submitting applications till 7 April,’’ Sergiu Harea said.
The files submitted will be assessed by a group of experts and the winners will be selected including based on an opinion poll conducted among consumers. The contests’ winners will be awarded prizes at the Moldovan Business Gala, due to be held in next summer.
Being at its 20th edition, the Trademark of the Year contest is one of the most efficient instruments of promoting trademarks on the domestic and external markets. The contest’s goal is to promote successful practices in the business sector, familiarize consumers with the best trademarks on the domestic market, as well as to highlight the most competitive enterprises from Moldova.
About 1,700 trademarks participated in those 19 earlier editions of the contest. About 100 files were submitted last year, of which 79 were declared winners at various nominations.
The Prize for achievements in the field of quality of goods and services is at its ninth edition. Its goal is to highlight the companies which have successfully implemented the quality management and to promote modern approaches of quality. Four hundreds companies participated in those eight earlier editions of the contest in all. The Grand Prize is the Goddess of Quality distinction.
