GALEX gala of national prizes nominated winners in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Culture Ministry, League of Librarians and the National Library today organized the Gala of laureates of national prizes, GALEX, the 12th issue, on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day and the Librarian Day in Moldova, marked on 23 April.

Attending the prize awarding festivity, a state secretary at the Culture Ministry, Andrei Chistol, congratulated the librarians from Moldova on their professional day and expressed gratitude to all those who had dedicated their lives to the connection between the book and man, as well as between library and community. The official handed the Honorary Diploma of the Culture Ministry to the best librarians.

The GALEX national prize, The best political figure supporter of the library, was awarded to Austrian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Moldova Stella Avallone; the prize, The best founder of libraries – to head of the Culture Section of the Sangerei district, Valeriu Rusu, the prize, The best writer promoter of books and reading, - to poet Vasile Romanciuc, etc.

The GALEX prize was established by the League of Librarians and the National Library of Moldova in 2010.
