Applications for enrollment in Romanian language courses can be submitted starting today

Chisinau, May 5 /MOLDPRES/- Applications for enrollment in Romanian language learning courses by national minorities, including the adult population can be submitted starting today until May 26. The courses are free for beneficiaries and will be held both online and in person in different regions of the country, depending on the number of requests. About 6 million lei (300 thousand euros) will be earmarked from the state budget for their organization. Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală made the statement today.

Teaching and managerial staff from educational institutions, adults working in various branches of the economy, justice, medicine, art, local and central public administration, and other people who want to learn the Romanian language, including refugees from Ukraine will be able to attend the courses.

Applications can be submitted online starting today. Applicants must fill out a form that is available on the website of the Ministry of Education. People who do not have the possibility to register online for courses, can contact the local educational institution to be helped in filling in the application.

The national program on the Romanian language learning by national minorities, including the adult population will be carried out by 2025. Anatolie Topală said that the authorities expect that this year around 2,500 teachers and managers from general education institutions will be trained and about four thousand adults from various professional categories, including adult refugees from Ukraine. At the end of the courses, the participants will get a certificate indicating the level of linguistic competence of knowledge of the Romanian language.

The official said that today the bids will be opened for the selection of the company that will conduct the courses, and in a few weeks the training courses will be launched.
