Moldovan government organizes festive programme dedicated to children on Europe Day

Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s government has organized a festive programme dedicated to children, titled, We Celebrate Europe Together, in the context of the Europe Day, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

During several hours, works by handicraftsmen were displayed at the Botanical Garden from Chisinau. At the same time, exhibitions with means of criminalistics intervention technics were organized in the same location and traffic policemen, border policemen, rescuers and firemen carried out diverse workshops and activities for children.     

Also, cynologists of the Interior Ministry presented a show with dogs trained in special missions and an artistic programme was provided by the Credo military choir. Moreover, the first 3,000 out of those over 4,000 participants received free of charge ice-cream from employees of law-enforcement institutions.     

Attending the festivity was also Prime Minister Dorin Recean, along with Interior Minister Ana Revenco. They made a tour of the fair of handicraftsmen and of exhibitions. Afterwards, the officials discussed with young people, children and parents present at the event about the significance of the Europe Day and the need for the entire society to join efforts, in order to edify Europe at home and to continue the irreversible road of accession to EU with confidence.     

„We edify the European Moldova together, with opportunities for citizens and state’s institutions in the service of people. I am happy that today thousands of citizens Moldova enjoyed the Open Doors Day at the Botanical Garden and celebrates Europe together,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.   

The events dedicated to the Europe day will continue also on 13 May, on the Great National Assembly Square. At the same time, the government and parliament will set a tent in the European Town, where they will explain to citizens the Moldova-EU cooperation.
