European Moldova National Assembly to be held today in Chisinau and in 33 other European cities

Chisinau, May 21. /MOLDPRES/- The European Moldova National Assembly will be held today in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) in Chisinau and in 33 other cities in Europe. President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola will participate in the event.

The action is organized by the government of the Republic of Moldova. It will bring together citizens who want to support the country's European path. The event will start at 11.00, with the singing of the Anthem of the Republic of Moldova, performed by opera singer Valentina Naforniță, and the singing of the European Union Anthem, by the Moldova Youth Orchestra and the Moldova Choir.

The action will continue with the appeal of President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, and the message of President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

Today, road traffic on bd. Stefan cel Mare in the perimeter of Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni street and A. Pușkin street will be suspended. Thus, public transport, which crosses PMAN will be redirected to the adjacent streets.

In early April, Maia Sandu launched the initiative to convene the European Moldova National Assembly on May 21, in the center of the capital.
