Moldovan Prime Minister attends event dedicated to Slavic culture in Taraclia

Chisinau, May 23 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean's visit to Taraclia district began with the participation in the event dedicated to the Days of Slavic Writing and Culture in the Republic of Moldova. Until May 28, various activities will be organized, aimed at contributing to the development of intercultural dialogue and the maintenance of friendly relations between representatives of different nationalities, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
He said we know that prosperity and peace are in Europe, and we, Moldovans, regardless of the language we speak, respect diversity and social cohesion.
"We are a nation of many cultural identities, but with one common goal - to build Europe at home and to promote our values within the wider community. Diversity makes us richer and unites us through respect for our shared values - human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law. Through these values, we become stronger together", said Recean.
Days of Slavic Writing and Culture are organized in our country annually, thus honoring the creators of the Cyrillic alphabet - Cyril and Methodius. In this context, festivals, concerts, conferences, round tables and exhibitions will be held in several localities.
