Employees might receive sports vouchers in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - Employees will be able to benefit from sports vouchers, provided by the employer additionally to the basic salary. The parliament today approved a draft on the amendment of the legislation to this effect.

Thus, the sports vouchers will be able to be used for attending fitness halls, swimming pools or for practicing the amateur’s sport at various sports units or on football stadiums and tennis courts. The concerned instrument will have the same fiscal facilities as the meal tickets, but only they will be meant for buying services in the sports sector.

At the same time, the draft envisages the extension of the right to direct 2 per cent of the taxable income and the deduction on fiscal purposes of the donations made for the specialized sports federations – members of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, professional sports clubs or sports associations of amateurs.
