259 state-supported businesses under Start for youth program

Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- 259 investment projects worth over 41 million lei (over 2 million euros) have been launched as part of Start for youth government program from June 2022 until now. The government's communication and protocol department released the figures today.

Under the program, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) continues to provide facilities to use the entrepreneurial potential of the young generation. Thus, young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who want to start or develop a business can benefit from advisory support and non-refundable financing or credit with a grant portion.

The value of the financial package can reach up to 1.7 million lei and includes the repayable loan portion of 85% and the grant portion of 15%. In the non-refundable financial support component, young people can access up to 200,000 lei, with a personal contribution of 30%.

The program aims to both develop the entrepreneurial skills of young people and increase the number of sustainable businesses in the Republic of Moldova.
